Amphibious vehicles

These trucks are great. They can go everywhere. We were at one of our favorite pools last weekend and spent most of the time with our trucks.

Check it out . . . below water . . . above water.

Daddy showed us how to roll them along the deck and into the pool.

We chased them . . . LOOK OUT JAX! . . .

. . . and brought them back to Daddy. Fun for hours, or perhaps more minutes than usual.

Consequences

We're learning all about consequences. When Mommy and Daddy buy white furniture, we get to clean the dog hair off of it.

Somersaults

That's right, we know what it is and can accomplish it sometimes. We'll master it eventually.

One of those days

We had all these great things planned today. We were gonna go to the beach.

It rained.

We were then gonna go swimming in our pool in the backyard.

It rained some more.

When it finally stopped, we had just a little time to get wet before dinner.

Even that was cut short when SOMEONE "took care of business" on the inside of their diaper-less swim suit.

The library . . . REALLY

So this is actually outside the library, but part of the library nonetheless.

Our good friends Shivani and Shashank came with us. There is this great flower-lined trail that goes past the library.

We had a snack out there . . .

. . . we ran around out there . . .

. . . and we all climbed the stairs when we were done. SEE - the library.

Drivin' in my car, Drivin' in my car . . .

. . . Drivin' all the way to the library in my car!

Before we went, Mommy and Daddy switched the car seats from the big car to the little car to see how it would work. You can imagine how much we helped.

C'mon people! Let's get this show on the road!

Best walk EVER!

So Mommy walked us all the way to the Y today. On the way home, we passed the local indoor ice rink. They have two huge piles of rocks, that we're guessing are for some resurfacing of the road.

ANYWAY! We saw the "big truck" drive by, and pull into the lot... by the time we got up there, the driver was in the "digger" lifting loads of rocks into the "big truck," and dumping them in. We got to see it maybe 4-5 times, and we were just astounded.

Then, when the truck was full, she dumped half of a "bucket-full" onto the rock pile.

The driver was a woman (which is important, apparently, maybe we'll find out why when we're older), and she waved to us as she drove by when she left.

It was awesome.

Benefits of summer

Lots of "nothing but a diaper" time.

Bye-bye Unkie Tyler

Unkie Tyler came by the other day to say goodbye. He was leaving for a new home far away the next day. We're excited for him, but we'll miss him terribly.

We watched him go until we couldn't see him anymore.

Welcome home

Check this out!! How cool is this house Mommy built for us out of a huge box. It has these great windows . . .

. . . really cool doors . . .

. . . and a skylight. Though we haven't noticed it yet.

Construction zone

Mommy worked really hard on that furniture box while we were sleeping. She cut windows in the side . . .

. . . made a welcome mat in the front . . .

. . . and a host of other surprises.

New furniture

Mommy and Daddy finally got some more furniture for the living room - you can see the leather love seat in the background. One of the pieces, a chaise, came in this giant box. Imagine what you could do with it.

This is a chaise. Mommy and Daddy are brave buying it in white.

Cordon Bleu

Could this be our calling? Twin chefs, or cooks if you will? We're soaking up all we can from the potato book ("bubbo book"). It's called that because of the sweet "bubbos" on the cover.

New car smell

These are our first HotWheels. Our neighbor down the street gave them to us. They are awesome and smell good too.

clean dishes . . . clean floor

We've mastered our technique. Whenever we do the dishes, we splash enough water out that we also clean the floor. Genius.

Butterflies and Sparky

The butterflies were really active today at the zoo, flying all over the place. Very cool.

We watched Sparky the Sea Lion swim all over his pool too. He kept swimming right past us and sticking his head above the water to stare at us. He was being silly.

Boooooooooooooon-uh

So this is what a spoon ("boon-uh") is for. Interesting. We always used them for the following:
Dragging on the wall or floor.
Hitting chairs or the floor (definitely not our brother).
Carrying all over the house.
Putting in things.
The list goes on an on.

Apparently, they're for eating. Pretty cool , huh?

Secret snack

Well, until Mommy found out.

Now that the kitchen is open, we can pull a chair away from the table, reach for whatever is on the table, and do as much damage as possible.

Triscuits are REALLY good!!

Sooooooooo many dishes

It's hard to know just where to begin, and exhausting just looking at it.

Better get to work.

Up and down outside

We discovered a new way to go up and down.

There are lots of hills around Grandma and Grandpa C's house.

They're great for running up and down, and up and down, over and over again.

Fun at the grandparents'

We visited Grandma and Grandpa C as part of the going away gathering. We had all kinds of fun with the hose in the backyard (Daddy did not spray us, despite how the photo looks).

We also tossed these really weird ball things up and down the stairs.

Scribbling goodbye

We made these super-cool drawings for Unkie Tyler and Ama Jill. They're moving far away next week. We will miss them.

New places to hide

Since Mommy and Daddy opened the kitchen to us, we're finding all kinds of places to hide.

mmmmmm Butter

Now that the kitchen is open (oh yeah, Mommy and Daddy opened the kitchen for good, maybe) we got to help Mommy make biscuits for breakfast this morning. We helped her put the butter in the bowl (she did not cut off Charley's finger) . . .

. . . then we helped her eat the butter. She's so nice.

We helped her stir all the ingredients together . . .

. . . and we checked the results. They weren't too bad raw, but they were better cooked.

Cool dudes

Check us out! After the zoo we went to Cossetta's for dinner.

The nu-nus were hot, but we were sooooo cool.

At the zoo with Carrie

Great Aunt Carrie (Mommy too), took us to the zoo a couple days ago. We saw all kinds of great things, including a swimming tiger (not quite as great as the swimming giraffe).

When they let us out of our strollers, we pushed them all over the zoo. People got out of OUR way.

The butterflies were really active too. They were flying all over the place in their little tent-thing.
